MEMORY BLANKET

Turn your little one’s or loved old clothes into a gorgeous and cuddly handmade eco-friendly keepsake. A bespoke memory blanket is the perfect way to permanently treasure those special memories of your child when they are little, instead of them being left in a cupboard and forgotten.

Your memory blanket doesn’t have to be for children, you can have bespoke sustainable keepsake made out of any of your loved ones old clothes!

SIZES FOR EVERY SITUATION

Available in various sizes, all blankets are lined with 100% cotton batting for extra warmth and backed with super soft dimple fleece. Dimple fleece is available in white, soft pink, soft blue or pale grey. Please select your colour preference from the drop down menu. if you would like another colour please message me and I can discuss some options with you.

Sizes are approximations, although all fabrics are backed with interfacing some stretching might occur or the size of the clothes provided may mean a different length to width ratio is more appropriate. I will contact you with any proposed changes. Below is a list of sizes and approximately how many clothing items are required for that size. Depending on the size and construction of the garment I may be able to get more than one blanket square per garment. Please not that the sizes below are approximate measurements, depending on the layout of your blanket the size may vary slightly, if you require a specific size please let me know.

Mini blanket 60x60cm (15-20 items)
Small blanket 60x90cm (20-25 items)
Medium blanket 90x120cm (25-35 items)
Large blanket 120×150 (55-70 items)

PERSONALISED BESPOKE MEMORY BLANKETS

I will try to retain as many key details from the garments as possible ie: feature pockets, bows,  decorative collars etc. (see images for examples of how these details are included within the blankets) Some garments may be deconstructed entirely and reassembled into a blanket square.

All blankets can be personalised by machine embroidery, please add the personalisation option to your basket and ensure that you include the text exactly as you would like it to appear. If personalisation is not required just type N/A or None in the personalisation box, thank you. I’ve found that a maximum of  2 lines of text works best within the space of a blanket square. This could be name and birthday or first name, middle name with surname underneath.

Once payment is complete, I will message you with the address to send your clothing items to (at your expense). Any clothes not used will be returned with the completed blanket. When packaging clothes please make it clear if there are any key items you definitely want included in the blanket. I will send you a suggested layout before sewing anything together to make sure you’re happy with the overall appearance.

HANDMADE TO ORDER

Lead time is 6-8 weeks for completion but may be longer during busy periods (for example the lead up to Christmas lead time will increase to 8-10 working weeks), I will always keep you updated on the progress of your order and when to expect your finished item.

To make sure these precious items arrive with you safe and sound…Finished blankets will be wrapped in acid free tissue paper and shipped via Royal Mail using their insured special delivery service. A charge of £15 applies to this service and will be added to your basket automatically.

All blankets are machine washable up to 40°c. Dry flat or line dry, do not tumble dry.
